Milnerton Flea Market was calling my name on this beautiful day in Cape Town and Daniel and I couldn’t imagine staying inside all day. We decided to do a little Cape Town exploring. Also, thanks to Eskom, there was loadshedding and we decided to spend that time out and about.
Milnerton Flea Market
We took a drive out to the Milnerton Flea Market and it was the perfect day for it. We’ve only been once before (the joys of having a husband that works most weekends) and it’s expanded quite a bit since our last visit.
I love the beautiful crafts and old treasures you can find at the Milnerton Flea Market. It’s a world of its own with one-of-a-kind goods buried under mountains of books and glassware. Almost every table is a treasure hunt.
There are some really strange finds…
I didn’t ask if there really were ashes in that box, but I’d rather not know. Also, who would buy that? And how much do you charge for human ashes? Is it even legal to sell ashes? So many questions, too creeped out to know the answers.
I’m always drawn to the shiny things at markets like this. I bought a couple of small tin mugs that I intend to use at succulent planters.
We also bought a couple of records which I want to turn into wall art of some kind without harming the actual records so of course I’ll be visiting Pinterest. If it works, I’ll also be visiting this particular stall again and stocking up. So many amazing records for very little money. Love.
It was time to do a little more exploring when we were done and we found a beautiful little empty beach and took a few photo and got our feet wet. All in all, it was a pretty perfect day.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and fabulous week ahead!
