As promised, here’s a round up of all the Mo’ photos I’ve snapped in the first week of November.
I love the moustache meme.
There, I said it.
“I moustache you a question, but I’m shaving it for later” will forever crack me up. I’m just that sorta lame.
I have printed a bunch of the above Mo’ and I will randomly be sticking them on plants, computers, chairs – you name it! Mostly because I want to support a good cause but I’m a chick so no unnecessary facial hair. Sorry. I may leave them there after snapping a pic, or I may take them with me. Who even knows! There are no rules, only fun!
Need more MOtivation? (I also love awful puns) Then watch Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues sing the greatest song ever written about Movember.
So what do you think? Will you be joining me? If you just want to keep tabs on how I spread the Mo’ Love, follow me on Instagram or Twitter, or both. Every week I’ll do a round up of the Mo’ photos so subscribe if you want to see those.
I love the internet, I mean, who doesn’t? I also love music and musicals. I also love and hate internet trends. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr – all of it. They are the worst and the best things about the internet.
The funny and clever people at AVbyte! on YouTube create really good musicals every week. They’re funny and the performers are good!
Seeing as I’m an Instagram addict, I loved this one.
Then there’s Tumblr. It’s a crazy place filled with, well, just watch this musical by AVbyte! and VlogBrothers.
They have a load more and they’re all hilarious, so enjoy!
Also, I’m very cool and now have my own domain. And what do you think of my blog? It’s still a work in progress but I’m trying! (I will conquer you, CSS!)
Oh and a HUGE thanks to André who helped me set up my new blog and who is just plain awesome and clever. Much love to you!
An open air market on a beautiful Cape Town day. Is there anything better?! Nope.
Every Thursday St George’s Mall in Cape Town gets invaded by delicious food, yummy sweet things and homegrown fruit and veg. It’s called the Earth Fair Food Market (they’re on Twitter too). It’s such fun.
It’s even more fun when it’s shared with loved ones. Like these two, my best friends, sisters and all round awesome people. Love these ladies very much.
Zayaan and I usually delight in pancakes from the “French Pancake Man”. His actual name is Jean Pierre. We love him very much. But he hasn’t been at the market recently (insert sad face) so we decided to try the homemade cheesecakes by “The Cheesecake Lady” (we’re super original).
Zayaan had a peanut brittle cheesecake. Yum!
This is one had a hint of rooibos to it. And it was all sorts of delicious.
Consider these wise words, blog friends: If you have an opportunity, go and visit the Earth Fair Food Market. You won’t regret it.
I’m an app fiend. If it boasts at being clever and innovative then I want to play with it. This is one of the main reasons I changed over from Blackberry to Android.
I’ve also had my stint with an iPhone and like everyone else I loved the Instagram app. I know there are noises from the Instagram CEO about an Android version in the pipeline, but I needed my fix now. So I went on the search for one…
Then I found this: Pixlr-o-matic
I took one look at the screenshots and loved it.
Not only were the features exactly what I was looking for but the app itself looks great.
It’s unlike Instagram in that the filters are not just preset options but you get to choose your colour filter, lighting effect and frame separately.
I’m actually quite fond of that feature. It’s nice not be locked into the same old pictures when you want to use a certain filter or frame. Well done, Pixlr-o-matic. I approve.
Another plus is that it’s FREE. Whoop! We do love a freebie.
My final word on Pixlr-o-matic and something that is very, very important – it doesn’t reduce the quality of the images. That is a HUGE factor that a lot of the other photo editors I tried failed at. Plus, it keeps the quality and it runs smoothly on my mobile. A real win-win.
My rating: 4.5 out of 5
Mobile: Motorola MB525
Market rating: 4.6 out of 5
Here are some of the photos I’ve created with Pixlr-o-matic:
Try it and let me know what you think.
